MEMORY VS BRAIN
~Memory is an individual's ability to store and remember any information and experience. It can be thought of in general terms as the use of past experience to affect or influeance current behaviour.Memory may be devided into short-term and long-term memory.
~Brain is the central and one of the largest and most complex organs in the human body. It made up of more than 100 billion nerves.It controls most of the activities of body,processing,intergrating and coordinating the information.It receives from the senses organs and making decisions as to the instructions sent to the rest of body.
3 KINDS OF MEMORIES
Sensory Memory
~Temporary storage of information through 5 senses.The infromation from sensory memory will transfer to short-term memory.If you not pay the attention the information will lost
Short-term Memory
~Short-term memory is a process that allows the information to be received and stores within short period of time.It has limited storage.The information stored in this memory system will be lost
Long-term Memory
~Long-term memory is a memory of an information in long period.Every information in this memory will remain but relies on the ability of a person to recall it
MEMORY STRATEGIES
Spaced practice
Involves space time over some period of time for studying.Instead of studying the night before an exam,study for a week before the exam.It will help you to focus and remember the information that have you learned in long term.
Break Tasks Down
Instead of cramming by studying all material during one long stusy session, study only one or two chapters during shorter, spaced study periods. This will help you stay focus because you do not feel rushed
Repitition
To get perfect learning,you should do it repeatedly and do an exercise many time,it will help you to remember the information easily and make it into your long term memory.
CONCENTRATION
Concentration is the ability to direct one's attention in accordance with one's will.It is the ability to focus the mind in one subject,object or other else.Concentration also important when you are reading,listening and studying.
